In the first few weeks of life, babies change dramatically quick. With an elegant, calm, and patient approach, my newborn sessions are designed to create heirloom images your family will adore and fondly look back on.
With colour schemes and style decided by you, along with as much styling input by me as you wish, my newborn sessions are tailored to your precise needs and vision. You may choose from a variety of lovely props, backdrops, and outfits that I own and/or you can opt to provide your own sentimental items. Ideally, these sessions are scheduled 2 to 3 months in advance to ensure that there is space in my calendar to accommodate all of the babies being born.

Always focused on ensuring your little one’s wellbeing, I have been trained in safe newborn photography wrapping and positioning techniques as well as, during each session, I take lots of breaks. It is my goal to deliver to you images that represent the magic of birth. To ensure this, I will wait until the child is calm and relaxed to shoot.

Traditional newborn photography includes wrapping and very posed images. I am trained in this style of photography, however also offer more natural newborn sessions. In my natural newborn sessions, I work with you to capture the child in an organic state as well as the family experiencing the baby for the first time. In both styles, my image aesthetic uses lots of soft light and focuses on the tender moments that surround new life.

I offer both in studio or in-home sessions. Please keep in mind that shooting in the studio you have full access to all my props and backdrops, at home you will have a more personal experience that can be stylized to your unique lifestyle. Depending on what you desire, I work with you to create images that you are emotionally connected to as your child grows.

Due to the variability of newborn photography, you may need to reschedule your session; In the case of medical complications that affect your baby, yourself, or someone in your family, please contact me as soon as possible and we will work together to determine a new time and date. As a mother myself, I take the health and wellbeing of all of my families very seriously and have set in place new protocols to protect my clients, myself, and my family. I understand the stress that inevitably comes along with caring for a newborn and know how important it is to be adaptable in capturing these remarkable moments.

In the case of a medical issue that affects your baby, yourself or someone in yours or my household, we will reschedule your session as soon as possible. We will also need to reschedule in the event that anyone is experiencing illness or symptoms related to COVID-19. I have set new protocols in place to protect all of my clients, myself, and my family that include pre-screening for symptoms, and increased sanitation procedures.

Please try to book your session 2-3 months in advance. If you end up requiring a last-minute session, please contact me and I will try to fit you in as only a limited number of newborns are scheduled each month to ensure I am free to accommodate all of them. Ideally, we will photograph your newborn when they are between 6 & 14 days old and over 6 lbs. It is very important to contact me as soon as your baby is born so that we can finalize your session date and time.
