Lily and her team are here to assist in whatever capacity you desire to help you achieve the wedding and the wedding photos of your dreams; From location scouting to timeline intricacies, we collaborate with couples, planners and venues to ensure no detail is overlooked. My team and I strive to not only be our clients’ photographers, but also their guides throughout the day to ensure they can relax and enjoy their celebrations all the while ensuring that your day is documented in an intentional and informed way.
My style is inspired by Old World beauty coupled with modern aesthetics. I offer deeply romantic images that radiate light, rich textures, and authentic emotion. From elegantly styled or editorial images to spontaneous shots, I work with you to record it all. While moving throughout the day, I am able to transition photography approaches to best fit the moment.
Lily Laidlaw Photography specializes in Alberta-based as well as destination wedding collections.
l consult extensively with my couples and their planners beforehand so that when you arrive at your wedding, you feel confident, comfortable, and trust that you are in good hands.
For many reasons, including the new challenges that COVID-19 has put on couples as they plan their weddings into 2021 and beyond, many are choosing to wed in smaller, more intimate celebrations, elopments and micro weddings. A new term has been coined as these smaller weddings have increased in popularity called the “minimony”- a small celebration followed by a sequel wedding. Lily Laidlaw Photography specializes in all of these types of nuptials and will consult with you to determine which one is the best fit for you and your partner.
Pre-wedding portrait sessions are a wonderful way to get creative with couples especially with regards to choosing a location. As an Edmonton-based photographer, there are many locations in and around the city that are perfect for engagement photos. I am also available for destination engagement sessions which could include adventuring in the Rocky Mountains or exploring a secluded beach- there are endless stunning possibilities. Every aesthetic from wardrobe, location, and style is curated to fit each couple uniquely.
When working with a photographer, it is important to understand the style and communication methods of the artist. With this in mind, I highly suggest an engagement session prior to the wedding day. This experience gives us a chance to get to know one another and if there are any disconnects with my direction, techniques, or images, we can work out any issues ahead of time.
Appreciating an eye for detail, I want every couple to find sentimental connections to their wedding day collections. Post-wedding there is a spectrum of physical heirlooms for you to choose from to cherish your memories for years to come.
For 2021, the starting price is $2700 and the average collection a couple purchases is $3100. All collections include a second photographer that is integral to help capture the emotions of the couple from both angles, as well as the getting ready details of each partner, and can also be an important factor that helps to keep the wedding-day timeline on track. Collections also include an Engagement session, valued at $500.
After delivery you will have all access to your files to share and print.
This is an important topic. Depending on when you book, prices may fluctuate. For example if you book on a Wednesday in February, that is a different quote price than booking on a Saturday in July.
Our collections are calculated based on the effort, energy, and time involved. The number of hours that go into taking the photos, followed by the editing process are going to be the same whether there are 30 guests or 300 guests attending the event.
